Meet Sam

Hey, I’m Sam!

I tutor Maths to students from Year 6 up to Year 11.

I have an HR background and supporting young people to get to where they want to be in life is what gets me out of bed every day.

I like to come with a range of ideas to keep each session fresh and adaptable to the needs of the student. Having taught in secondary schools for the last 9 years, I understand the pressures on students and take a calm and interested approach to progressing their learning.

And some other important questions…

  • What’s your background? I have an engineering degree from the University of Birmingham, a Masters in People Development from the University of Warwick and a PGCE from the Open University.
  • What’s in your fridge? Grapes and hummus to save me from the ice cream in the freezer below!
  • What are your hobbies? Walking my dog all over Warwickshire whilst looking for lost Duke of Edinburgh teams, dancing and I love an upcycling project.
  • What is a fun fact about you? I rode a motorbike to Pakistan and back.
