Meet Trisha

Hey, I’m Trisha!

I have lots of experience tutoring Mathematics, English and French to children from year 1 to year 11! I have also led workshops in 11+ exam preparation and creative writing.

Undeniably, my primary motivation for tutoring is seeing the satisfaction on my pupil’s face when they conquer a challenge which they thought was impossible! In addition, I love sharing ideas, building confidence, and connecting with my pupils. I always find that I can learn a lot from my pupils as well, as everyone has something unique to share, whether it be a new method, fact, or skill!

I favour a tutoring approach that cultivates independence whilst still providing a safety net. We will thoroughly cover the theory together, however afterwards, I prefer to go through as many practice questions as possible. Without fail, I find that one’s apprehension and fear dissolves once they realise that making mistakes isn’t the end of the world!

Furthermore, I am prepared to cater to the pupil’s particular learning needs, whether they be a visual, auditory or tactile learner. We will incorporate as many resources as possible to keep the lessons fun and engaging!

And some other important questions…

  • What’s your background? I studied A-Level English Literature, French and History, achieving A*A A respectively. I am currently in my third year studying for a BA in French and English Literature at UCL.
  • What’s in your fridge? Three pots of Greek yoghurt, and a jar of green olives that I am too weak to open!
  • What are your hobbies? My favourite past time without a doubt is reading – any type of book will have me occupied for hours! I also adore dancing (specifically ballet), language learning, letter writing and embroidery.
  • What is a fun fact about you? I have a stuffed toy collection consisting of 9 lambs (and counting!)
